Bela Bajaria was born in 1966 (age 55 years; as in 2021) in London, England. He spent part of his childhood in the UK, Zambia and Los Angeles. His grandparents were from India, but they moved to Africa to set up businesses there. Later, his parents, who were born in East Africa, moved to London. After Bella’s birth, her parents moved to the United States when Bella was just 4 years old. In the 1970s, when Bella was just 4 years old, her parents moved to the United States with her 4-month-old brother and a younger sister to set up a car wash business. Soon, Bajaria’s parents became illegal immigrants as they overstayed their visa period. Meanwhile, while her parents arranged for an investor visa, Bella lived with her grandparents. In 2006, she recalled the days when she was a contestant in the Indian American pageant. Sharing her memories of the pageant competition she said,
I took the title very seriously. I use my platform to talk about issues that really concern me. How much you can achieve depends entirely on you. I took advantage of every opportunity that came my way.”
After completing his graduation, he started working at Vijay Amritraj’s company, First Serve Entertainment, as a creative executive in-charge of production. In 1996, he worked with CBS in the movie and mini-series department. She left CBS for a short time and joined Warner Bros. Television, where she was a manager of movies and mini-series. Then, she joined CBS again in 1997 as a director of films and mini-series. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president and in January 2002, he was named senior vice president, Movies and Mini-Series.
