Mark Bowe returns for another season of Barnwood Builders to change the look of dilapidated houses and barns. The fifteenth season of Magnolia will air on Thursday, February 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Viewers will be able to watch the episode on Fubo, Apple TV, and Discovery+ the day after it airs on television. Mark Bowe will feature in the first episode of Barnwood Builders, titled Legendary Wooden Houses, as he builds a custom wooden guesthouse in Dandridge, in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains.
The description of the Magnolia series reads:
“Mark Bowe and his team of West Virginia carpenters restore old barns and cottages in this series before the wood rots. Their aim is to breathe new life into old buildings. Among her efforts were the demolition of an old log house in West Virginia, and the restoration and rebuilding of it for a Tennessee collector.”
Mark will also visit one of the most famous mansions in the country during the show. Meanwhile, Gatlinburg ice cream parlor will be transformed by artist Johnny Jett.
Barnwood Living was founded by Mark Bowe, the head of Barnwood Builders.
Mark Bowe, 53, from Glasgow, West Virginia, earned a degree in business administration while working in mining at West Virginia University. He later earned a master’s degree in security management from West Virginia University’s College of Business. His wife, Cindy, and son Atticus live in Lewisburg. Mark is known as an artisan, historian, businessman and head of Barnwood Builders. In 1995, he founded his own remodeling company, Antique Cabins & Barns. The name of the organization was eventually changed to Barnwood Living and it changed the construction of 500 pioneer-era cabins.
He wanted to honor the “skill of America’s pioneering ancestors” and preserve their hard work for future generations. In addition to his official page, fans can hire him for motivational lectures. Bowe also owns an insurance company and previously served on the city council.
In an interview with Greenbrier Valley, Bowe said he intends to improve people’s perception of West Virginia:
“I want to challenge the term ‘farmer’. The network won’t let us use it in the first season, but then we’ll have delivery truck drivers while proudly posing as farmers. The network is finally up and running. I believe it depends on strong relationships with family and friends, determination to work hard, and qualities like stamina and courage.”
He enjoys kayaking, sailing, fishing, camping, ax throwing and playing tomahawks. His 2013 Ted Talk, The Front Porch, is now on YouTube and has over 17,000 views. Johnny Jet, Sherman Thompson, Tim Rose and Graham Ferguson were among his teammates.
