She was appointed by the Bharatiya Janata Party as co-convener of the Delhi BJP legal cell on March 24, 2023. Bansuri explained her decision to enter active politics as follows:
“It’s just that I have been formally given the opportunity to serve the party more actively in my capacity as co-convener of the BJP legal department in Delhi.”
