As Azmat grew up, the tone of his voice started changing. One day when he uploaded his video on his social media account, he got a very bad response from the audience. After this he went into depression and stopped singing for some time. During that time, he became a victim of drug abuse, which further spoiled his singing career. In 2019, Azmat returned to the singing industry by participating in the singing reality show “Indian Idol 11”.

- When Hussain returned to Jaipur after winning the show, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot honored Ajmat with a flat in the MIG category of the Rajasthan Housing Board and a fixed deposit of Rs. Rs 11 lakh in his name from the Rajasthan government.
