Azealia Banks is not impressed with The 1975’s Matty Healy.
The 31-year-old “212″ superstar shared her thoughts on the 34-year-old rocker, who has been in the headlines lately for his alleged relationship with Taylor Swift and his recent controversial podcast appearance in which he mocked Ice Spice.
“Does Matt Healy know that no one really thinks The 1975 make good music and that he’s a dumb asshole with a trashy cliche band name that doesn’t really mean anything and who is clearly under so much pressure that a black girl who knows nothing about he or his music is making more moves and money than him,” he began on Instagram.
“Do you know that black women are more coveted in today’s industry because there is BIG BUSINESS in female rap? “He is so obviously weak-kneed, thin-jawed, and addicted to drugs that it is easy to infect his bad mood,” she continued.
“That outrageous little opinionated white musician works only for Ariel Pink and Ariel Pink. The 1975s better go somewhere with their post-The Academy is nonsense. (We love The Academy Is) but you’re clearly going for a Death From Above 1979 aesthetic that you’ll never get.”
“You’re not a star, nor are you good at whatever that mid-2000s indie fantasy shit is that you’re trying to sell, Ice Spice has Miles more originality. that you never will. “1975 isn’t on anyone’s radar, baby, maybe fat emo teens, but no, we’re not looking for you, boo,” he continued.
On another slide, he wrote: “Matt Healy is one shared needle away from contracting tetanus.”
In a follow-up, he added: “Taylor, this guy is going to give you mange. He’s not on the level of a powerful cat that HELLA worked hard to build. Ugh, there are so many much cooler people in music to work with. You really should playing James Mercer from The Shins…James Mercer is honestly one of the greatest lyricists of all time. Yeah, yeah,” he wrote.
“Taylor Swift with ‘Black Wave’ ‘Australia’ by The Shins vibes is TEA’s sister. Ugh, this guy is a complete incel. You can’t let him climb Coochie’s rich white mountain, sister,” Azealia concluded.
