Ayesha Sultana was born on Sunday, 2 December 1984 (age 36 years; as in 2020) in Jessore, Bangladesh. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. Ayesha completed a Curatorial Research Residency at Gasworks, London in 2013. As of 2021, she is living in Chetlat Island, Lakshadweep.

Sultana started her career as a model and acted in some TV commercials and print advertisements. He worked as an assistant film director under many popular Malayalam film directors like Nisam Bashir and Lal Jose. Ayesha worked as an associate director in the Malayalam film “Kettiyolanu Ente Malakha” (2019).

Controversy
In 2021, BJP Lakshadweep president C Abdul Khader Haji filed a case against Ayesha under sections 124 A (sedition) and 153 B (hate speech) at Kavaratti police station for calling Lakshadweep administrator Praful K Patel a “bioweapon”. . Haji alleged in his complaint that during a debate on the ongoing political crisis in Lakshadweep on a Malayalam news channel, Sultana criticized the Central government and called Patel a bio-weapon of the Centre. Later, Ayesha clarified her statement through a Facebook post. she wrote,
I had used the word bioweapon in the TV channel debate. I have felt Patel and his policies too. [have acted] As a bioweapon. Covid-19 spread in Lakshadweep through Patel and his team. I have compared Patel as a bioweapon, not as a government or a country… You should understand. What else can I tell him…”
After the incident, Lakshadweep Sahitya Pravartak Sangam showed its support towards Ayesha and said that portraying Ayesha as anti-national was an inhuman view of the administrator.
