Maybee’s talent is undoubted, but she faces stiff competition from equally talented competitors. She has distinguished herself by choosing daring songs, which has impressed the judges, especially pop singer Katy Perry.
In the top 20 round, Ava played Demi Lovato. Someonewinning praise for its “unusual” song choice and execution of the musical number.
During an interview that Ava referenced on her Instagram page, Howard Stern told Ava’s father, rock and roll legend Chad Smith, that Ava would win. american idol.

Ava Maybee was born on February 19, 2001 to Trisha Cardoso and Chad Smith. Chad has played drums for the Red Hot Chili Peppers band since 1988.
Having a musical influence like Chad Smith as a father would certainly help Ava’s career, but she set out to succeed in Chad’s shadow.
In April 2022, the Red Hot Chili Peppers appeared on the Howard Stern show on SiriusXM and praised Ava’s work ethic. A band member said that Ava has been working on her music for over a decade, stating that “he passed the time.”
Two members of the band recalled walking into a Lakers game and hearing a beautiful rendition of the national anthem. To their surprise, they found out that the singer was Ava. They said:
“We walked in and I was thinking ‘someone is doing a really good anthem tonight, this is beautiful.’ Who is that person. I know that person who makes the anthem. Without presuming. Just beautiful from the heart. It was Ava! She was so impressed, because I never say that going into the anthem.”
Chad said that Ava is a hard worker who gets up early to perfect her performances. “[Ava] it is very good to make sure that [her music career is] not this nepotism thing,” Chad said. “She’s not going that way. She wants to do it by herself.”
A search on Smith’s Instagram shows his support for Ava’s career: he promoted her debut song Humiliatepopularized the video for the song and encourages people to vote for Ava on american idol.
Smith expressed her delight that Ava is enjoying her journey on American Idol. “I’m very proud of her,” Smith said. “It is a very good experience for her. She’s a great girl, she’s having a good time”.

After one of his performances, he thanked his mother for giving him her affirmation. She said:

Like Chad Smith, Trisha Cardoso uses social media to encourage people to vote for Ava. On April 9, 2022, Cardoso retweeted the following TvMoJoe tweet:

A year later, Chad and his then-girlfriend welcomed Justin Smith. After the turn of the century, Smith’s then-partner, Trisha, gave birth to Ava Maybee.
In 2004, Smith married again, this time to architect Nancy Mack. The couple is raising three children, Cole, Beckett and Dashiell, in their Malibu, California home.
Thanks to her father, Ava has five half-siblings. It is not clear if she shares close connections with them.
Smith and Mack have been married for nearly two decades, a feat Chad thought impossible before he met Nancy. In 2003 he said The Guardian:

Trisha Cardoso write on his twitter biography that she is a philanthropist who works with the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation.
“Reflecting the values and unique experiences of the Lorre family, the foundation supports programs, services and opportunities for those who fight with less and fight for more,” reads the page about the Foundation.
Smith, on the other hand, advocates funding music programs in public schools. In 2013 she traveled to Washington DC on behalf of the National Association of Music Merchants.
chad said Rolling Stone that he would have ended up in jail or dead if it hadn’t been for the music education at school. “Instead, I ended up in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” he said. Smith also performed at a White House talent show in May 2014 to further his agenda.
“Music was the only reason I wanted to go [to school]Smith said. “He got me interested in other subjects and I never would have graduated without him. If the kids can connect with some kind of art in some way, it will enrich their lives in ways they probably can’t fully comprehend at the time.”

Chad has worked with a wide range of artists, including Glenn Hughes, Avett Brothers, Post Malone, Lana Del Rey, Halsey, and Ozzy Osbourne. Smith was ranked tenth on Spin magazine’s May 2013 list of the 100 Greatest Alternative Drummers.
We would need an entire piece to list Chad’s achievements in music. The one Smith cares about the most, though, is the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Its special meaning to Smith stems from his mother’s enthusiasm for the award. Smith told Toni González of noisy nights:
“My mom was so overwhelmed with emotion and she was so proud to know that the band would get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That’s something she can relate to. My mother is 95 years old, okay? And she’s like, ‘Oh my God, you’re going to get a star! Carol Burnett has a star and Bob Hope!’”
