  • In February 2023, he scored 144 runs off 63 balls to help Mumbai Customs defeat Air India by 56 runs at the University Ground.
  • In 2023, when Atharva was asked to retire after scoring 55 runs in 42 balls in the 15th over of the Punjab Kings innings against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL match, former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif cited Rinku’s example. Criticized the decision of PBKS by giving. Singh and Rahul Tewatia. In the interview he said,

Very poor decision to ask him out. Why do you talk about Rinku Singh and Tewatia? Rinku Singh was run-a-ball initially and Tewatia was playing on 13 runs in 21 balls. After this he hit five sixes. Tide was scoring runs at a strike rate of 130 and was a set batsman with Liam Livingstone. Livingstone was playing fast and Tide was playing its role. This is an uncapped player who was hitting fours and sixes. He was blindsided and you told him to come out when it was time to hit six. Very bad decision because who came after that – Jitesh Sharma, Shahrukh Khan and Sam Curran – they all came and were out. If the decision had been good, I would have praised him. If you check the statistics, whenever something has happened that a set batsman has been asked to come out, how many times has the new batsman won the match? Show me the statistics, I will give up.”
