Ashvin Luximon, who played Asif Malik in EastEnders, died on July 23 of an aneurysm at the age of 38. He was laid to rest on August 11. Following the actor’s death, Luximon’s family has set up a memorial website to donate to various organizations. In a statement they said,
“Ash’s untimely death has left all of us deeply saddened, but we wanted to remember his generous attitude.”
They continued to say,
“Many people like and admire him. He’s an excellent karaoke singer with a voice that can be heard from space! He provides the ultimate in fun and pampering.”
Luximon’s family has asked his fans to donate to organizations like the NSPCC and Andy’s Man Club. The Ashvin family recommends that people wear colorful clothes instead of black in tribute to Luximon’s idea of living the way he wants. A chance meeting at The Cavalier bar in Barnet was also planned.
The character of Ashvin Luximon in EastEnders
Asif Malik, played by Ashvin Luximon, made his debut in 1999. He played high school classmate Martin Fowler. In the play, both Fowler and Malik are entangled in various problems, including theft and vandalism. Luximon’s character is heavily involved in the plot of Martin and his classmates, Nicky Di Marco and Janine Butcher. In the episode, Malik falls in love with Janine but is never reciprocated; he also had a few dates with Nicky, but without success.
Luximon, who was born in Enfield, appeared in 146 episodes of EastEnders. Malik last appeared on the show in October 2003, after completing A-levels and entering college. After that, he was no longer on the show, and the following year it was revealed that he was a resident of Edinburgh and was getting married when he invited Martina to an off-screen bachelorette party. EastEnders, created by Julia Smith and Tony Holland, originally aired in 1985. The show’s story, which deals with topics such as violence, violence, murder, and abuse, has been both praised and ridiculed.

Luximon had a major role in Grange Hill in 1997, along with an appearance in EastEnders. He grew up in North London, attending Bowden Theater School and Chase Community School.
