Arushi Nishank is an Indian environmentalist, social activist, filmmaker and international Kathak exponent. She is known as the daughter of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former Chief Minister and Education Minister of Uttarakhand.

Aarushi Nishank was born on Wednesday, 17 September 1986 (age 34 years; as in 2020) in Kotdwar, Uttar Pradesh (now Uttarakhand). Her zodiac sign is Virgo. Aarushi Nishank completed her schooling and went to Cambridge University to pursue a PGDM course. After completing the course, Aarushi went to Dehradun, Uttarakhand and settled there.

As a Kathak exponent
Arushi is an internationally acclaimed Indian classical Kathak dancer. He was trained by Padma Vibhushan awardee Pandit Birju Maharaj. Aarushi has given many international presentations in London, Germany, Canada and Dubai. While performing in Dubai, Arushi composed and choreographed the composition ‘Ganga Avtaran’, which is the story of Goddess Ganga’s arrival on earth.
Aarushi has been working with her father for the welfare of the environment for a long time. In 2009, Aarushi became the co-founder and chairperson of Sparsh Ganga Campaign. The campaign was started by Ramesh Pokhriyal and Aarushi Nishank with the goal of spreading environmental awareness about the growing problem of pollution in the river Ganga and encouraging people to save and clean the river Ganga. He has campaigned in five different countries.

In 2018, Aarushi made her debut as a producer with the film ‘Major Nirala’. This regional film was based on the novel written by his father Ramesh Pokhriyal.
