Arrow Star Joins Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3

Rick Gonzalez, who stars as The Wild Dog in Arrow, will be in season 3 of Law & Order: Organized Crime, playing an NYPD detective.

Law & Order: Organized Crime season 3 has cast Arrow star Rick Gonzalez. Created by the mastermind of the Law & Order franchise Dick Wolf, production for Organized Crime is underway despite the tragic loss of a crew member on set. The seventh spin-off in the Law & Order franchise has proven to be a smash hit, casting stars such as Flashdance‘s Jennifer Beals and American Horror Story‘s Dylan McDermott in season 2. Now, a new star is officially signing on for next season.

Deadline reports that Rick Gonzalez will star in the upcoming season of Law & Order: Organized Crime. Gonzalez stars as The Wild Dog in The CW’s Arrow after joining the series during season 5, and later appearing in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. Gonzalez will reportedly play an NYPD detective assigned to the Organized Crime Unit. The new season is set to come out this September on NBC.

Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hagerty in Law and Order Organized Crime season 2

Law & Order: Organized Crime follows the return of Detective Elliot Stabler following his appearance in the SVU crossover episode with Organized Crime, where he reunites with Detective Olivia Benson. It was Christopher Meloni’s first time reprising his role as the iconic detective following his departure from the franchise. Organized Crime sees the detective return to his old home at the NYPD following his wife’s murder. Despite a tragedy occurring on the set of Organized Crime and a last-minute showrunner change-up, news of this casting seems to signal everything is moving forward for Law & Order: Organized Crime.
