Puma, the German footwear and sports entertainment company, is preparing for its next chapter by appointing Arne Freundt as the business’s next CEO. Arne takes over as CEO of Puma from Bjrn Gulden, who has been with the company since 2013. Arne Freundt will assume the position of CEO of Puma SE in November 2022. Freundt has also been appointed appointed as chairman of the board of supervisors. The German record company has offered him a four-year contract that will begin on January 1, 2023. Freundt has been Commercial Director on the Board since June 2021.

More about Puma’s new CEO, Arne Freundt, who has been with the German brand for ten years.
Freundt was born in 1980 in Germany. He started his career at Siemens Advanta Consulting in March 2005 and stayed there for 6 years as a senior project manager until June 2011. He started working at Puma in July 2011 as a member of the Global Chief Strategy Officer team. From January 2015 to December 2018, he held the position of global director of retail and e-commerce. From January 2019 to May 2021, he was the general manager of EMEA. He has just been promoted to CEO after being hired as Commercial Director in 2021. His academic career has been excellent as he attended EM Strasbourg Business School and Graduate School of Management HHL Leipzig.
What do people expect from Arne Freundt, CEO of the German label?
Freundt’s new position has attracted people’s interest and they have high expectations for him. Hélodie Temple-Boyer, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, noted Arne’s new position:

Arne was previously in charge of corporate strategy and the Global Direct-to-Consumer division. The Supervisory Board appointed Freundt as CEO immediately, following the announcement that Bjrn Gulden would take over as CEO of Adidas on January 1, 2023.
