Anusha Bhagat is an Indian investment banker. She has been working as the Chief Operating Officer at UBS, a multinational investment bank and financial services company, since October 2007. Anusha is known for being the wife of the Indian author and columnist Chetan Bhagat.

Anusha Bhagat met Chetan Bhagat for the first time at the campus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where they both were pursuing their MBAs. The two initially became friends and slowly formed a fondness for each other. Soon, they started dating. While Chetan was attracted to Anusha’s cuteness, simplicity, and intelligence, Anusha was impressed with Chetan’s humour and positive attitude. In an interview, while talking about Anusha, Chetan said,
My wife Anusha was so cute that many guys in campus wanted to try their luck with her. But then, some guys do work their charm better.”

He was a clown in campus, and I’d crack up at his jokes while the other guys were too busy studying or trying to impress me.”
In an interview, Chetan Bhagat shared that their parents were earlier sceptical about their relationship as they were from different backgrounds. However, later, they gave in.

In 2009, Chetan Bhagat wrote the book 2 States: The Story of My Marriage, depicting his real-life love story. The novel was later adapted into the film 2 States (2014), directed by Abhishek Varman and starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film chronicles the romantic journey of a culturally opposite couple Krish Malhotra and Ananya and the difficulties they faced due to their cultural differences.
