Anupama Nadella is an Indian American woman. She is known as the wife of Microsoft Company CEO Satyanarayan Nadella. His son, Zain Nadella, suffered from cerebral palsy since his birth and died on 28 February 2022. Zain was twenty-six years old at the time of his death.

Birth of Zain Nadella
Anupama Nadella noticed that during the thirty-sixth week of pregnancy, there was no movement of the baby in her womb. The couple decided to consult doctors immediately. Immediately after her checkup, doctors performed a cesarean section on her. She gave birth to a son, who was not crying at the time of birth. They named him Zain. Zayn was born with cerebral palsy and was kept in intensive care and observation at Children’s Hospital in Seattle. At the time of baby Zayn’s birth, doctors said he had suffered from asphyxiation in utero, and that it would cause him cerebral palsy for the rest of his life. Anupama gave up her career goals to take care of her special child.

- Satyanarayan Nadella fell in love with Anupama Nadella in Hyderabad Public School. She was his junior in school. Later, both of them joined Manipal University and graduated as engineers. Both Anupama and Satya Nadella’s fathers were IAS officers of the same cadre and both served under the then Prime Minister of India PV Narasimha Rao.
