Blackish Star Anthony Anderson revealed on Thursday, February 1, that he is currently recovering after a “fight on the set of a movie” that went wrong.
The actor shared a snap of himself lying in a hospital bed following the ordeal on set. “I spent the night in the emergency room,” Anderson explained. “The move set fight went wrong. Me against two thugs and a chair! Guess who didn’t win? Who needs a specialist? I am who! I’m not as young as I used to be!
Anthony Anderson also wrote that the CT scan and x-rays showed nothing fractured or broken in his back. However, there was a deep concussion. “That chair will never be the same thought again!” Anderson continued. “Bloody and bent but never broken!”
In addition to sharing a photo of him in the hospital, Anderson posted a snapshot of the infamous chair. “This is the chair that hit my ass last night!” he stated she in the separate post. “There is something about this that is threatening! He hit Me in the kidneys and in the back without mercy!
Anthony Anderson claimed that when he arrived on set, the chair was “smiling at him.” “What he doesn’t know is that I have something for that…! He went to learn today!
In a post on Friday, Anderson shared a photo of the chair once again and of him sitting in it. “When I arrived on set today, these actors were being idiots and talking shit about my hospital,” she wrote. “Needless to say, I screamed a little today! I didn’t need a double for that!
Anthony Anderson is currently working on the film. G20. The thriller, directed by Patricia Riggen, follows a terrorist group that takes over the G20 Summit, an annual conference that brings together leaders from 20 of the world’s largest economies.

Just before hosting the 2024 Emmy Awards, Anthony Anderson shared his thoughts on Jo Koy’s performance at the Golden Globes. Koy received strong backlash after he made a joke about Taylor Swift.
“Everyone is entitled to their opinion,” Anderson said. “There is going to be criticism. It doesn’t matter if you do it great, if you do it badly. You can’t please everyone. But it is a job that must be done. It is a job suitable for the best to do.”
