Amber Rose opens up about ex-love Kanye West pushing her to wear provocative outfits, despite her modest nature.
Thursdays Just B with Bethenny Frankel In the podcast, Rose alleged that the veteran rapper encouraged her to adopt a more provocative style after the start of their tumultuous relationship in 2008.
“Actually, I’m conservative,” Rose explained. “I have always been conservative since I was young.” Rose recalled that she was perceived as a “sexpot girl” after gaining fame during her relationship with West.
“That was my first relationship with a celebrity, but also in front of the public,” he said. “And he knows a lot about fashion and he always wanted me to dress very sexy.”

After splitting from Kanye West in 2010, Amber Rose still felt confined to her “sexy” image and found it difficult to break free from that category.
“So when I was alone, without my first relationship, that brought me out into the light, that’s what they wanted from me,” she explained.

When Rose attempted to “go against the grain,” she often faced pushback against her conservative nature.
“I would have the producers say, ‘We want to make this video for MTV and we want you in the pool, in a bikini with a martini in your hand.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh, I’m not her.’ Like I’m not her and I understand what I look like, but I’m not her,’” she recalled.
“And they say, ‘Well, I guess you don’t want to do it then,'” he added. Rose confided in Frankel how he “shudders” when reflecting on his early years in the spotlight and the sacrifices he made. “It was like I remembered fighting so hard to not be that person and no one would let me,” she explained.
Of course, Amber Rose’s comments come amid increased scrutiny directed at Kanye West, stemming from his current relationship. Ye’s current wife, Bianca Censori, frequently catches her attention with her provocative fashion choices when she is in public.
She recently wore a thong bikini while having ice cream. She also turned heads at the Cheesecake Factory with Kanye West in neon tights and a bandeau top. The seemingly eccentric outfit has led some fans to speculate that Ye is influencing his current wife’s wardrobe rotation.
