All Genshin Impact Characters With Powerful DPS Attacks

The list of playable characters in Genshin Impact continues to grow, and Version 1.3 will add a new damage-dealer into the game: Xiao. He will be the latest member of powerful characters in Genshin Impact who are designed for DPS. Here are all the characters in the game who have powerful attacks meant for pure DPS so far.

Typically, the combat roles in Genshin Impact are either DPS (characters meant for dealing damage quickly), Support (characters who can heal or buff the party), and a hybrid of the two (characters who deal damage while triggering Elemental Reactions). With the right team builds to complement each other, using a variety of these roles can make just about any team unstoppable.

This list focuses on the characters in Genshin Impact who are meant purely for DPS. These characters have powerful Normal and Charged Attacks, and their Elemental Skills and Elemental Bursts can do even more damage. With these characters around, enemies don’t stand a chance.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Diluc

Diluc is considered one of the best (possibly even THE best) character in the entire game. His Normal Attack, Tempered Sword, performs powerful slashes, while his plunging attack causes AoE damage to surrounding targets. Diluc’s Elemental Burst, Dawn, knocks back enemies and causes massive AoE Pyro damage. Because of this, Diluc is an almost unstoppable force in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Tartaglia

Tartaglia, aka Childe, is a Hydro user in Genshin Impact who can inflict enemies with Riptide while firing off up to six consecutive shots with his bow. His Elemental Skill hits multiple enemies at the same time, and it puts him into a slashing stance – meaning Tartaglia’s attacks can be both ranged or melee. His Elemental Burst can also cause AoE damage, depending on which stance he’s in at the time.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Klee

Klee’s moves are literally explosive, as this little girl goes around blowing up enemies in Genshin Impact. She may be small in stature, but her DPS moves are huge. Nearly every one of Klee’s attacks causes AoE Pyro damage, meaning she’s perfect for taking down a lot of enemies at the same time.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Xiao

The newest character to join the DPS roster in Genshin Impact is Xiao. He’s the 5-star Banner character for Version 1.3, and he’s got swift and precise attacks that are deadly. His Bane of All Evil Elemental Burst amps up his damage output even more, in exchange for slowly draining his own HP.

Xiao’s polearm attacks are quick and consecutive, and his Anemo moves can hit multiple enemies at the same time. Xiao’s character Ascension in Genshin Impact is built around increasing his DMG and ATK stats, which means he’ll only get more powerful as players rank him up.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Keqing

Keqing will also be featured as a Banner during Genshin Impact’s Version 1.3 content, although she’s been in the game already. With her rapid slashes and a plunging attack that hits surrounding foes, Keqing’s Normal and Charged Attacks are already pretty great. Coupled with the massive AoE Electro damage she can cause with her Elemental Burst, Keqing is one of the deadliest DPS characters in the game.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Ningguang

Ningguang is currently the only Geo user who’s really built purely for DPS in Genshin Impact. Several of her moves can fire projectiles at enemies, and her Jade Screen can cause AoE damage while protecting herself. Ningguang’s Elemental Burst, Starshatter, can be paired with Jade Screen to make her damage output even more impressive.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Beidou

Beidou is an Electro user in Genshin Impact with a giant claymore. She can smash and slash enemies in quick succession with her Normal and Charged Attacks. Her Elemental Burst, Stormbreaker, creates a Thunderbeast’s Targe around herself, meaning she deals an incredible amount of Electro damage while also decreasing the amount of damage she takes herself.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Razor

Razor is an Electro user in Genshin Impact whose Normal and Charged Attacks are very similar to Diluc’s. His slashing attacks can be followed up with a more damaging finishing move, and his Claw and Thunder Elemental Skill can shock multiple enemies. The Electro Sigils that get summoned during this time can also grant a 20% Elemental Recharge bonus per sigil.

Razor’s Elemental Burst, Lightning Fang, summons the Wolf Within and raises Razor’s ATK SPD. The spirit wolf also attacks alongside Razor in Genshin Impact, meaning the two of them can cause twice as much damage for as long as the effect is active.

Genshin Impact DPS Character – Xinyan

Genshin Impact’s Xinyan is often overshadowed by more powerful Pyro users like Klee and Diluc, but she has her own DPS moves that can make her great. Xinyan’s Normal Attack can perform multiple, consecutive slashes – but her Charged Attack can drain stamina in order to perform continuous spinning attacks that hit all nearby enemies. Her Elemental Burst, Riff Revolution, launches foes into the air and ends in explosions that damage every single one of them.
