Tabitha Brown will look back on 2021 fondly. She’s partnered with The Calm App, launched a new seasoning with McCormick, and had a successful book launch. Brown is now set to open her first vegan restaurant, Kale My Name, in Los Angeles. Tabitha noticed Kale My Name while she was filming The Chi in early 2021.
He contacted its owner, Nemanja Nekac, with a proposal to expand the business. Nemanja agreed to make Brown a restaurateur by making her co-owner of the brand’s California branch. “It’s officially happening!” Tabitha shared on Instagram. “I am opening my first restaurant. I’m very grateful”.
Tabitha’s husband, Chance Brown, has supported Tabitha throughout her journey. Let’s take a closer look at him and his children.
Brown defended their marriage after Wendy Williams questioned Tabitha’s decision to remove her husband.
On June 26, 2021, Tabitha Brown shared via YouTube that she has removed Chance Brown from the police force. She described it as a 15-year dream come true. An elated Tabitha shared:
“When my husband went on this journey, he really felt like he could make a difference, and I know he has in his community. He has done the part of it. But I also know that it is time for him to dream again.
Talk show host Wendy Williams did not share Brown’s happiness. She referenced her experience with a husband’s retirement and stated that it doesn’t end well. Wendy foresaw a situation where Chance will blame Brown after her investments fail. Williams shared:
“They invest in something else and then the money is scammed or stolen. Then they reverse again and he comes home and throws the bag at her. She’s like ‘What? That?’ And he goes, ‘I can’t do this and this is your fault. You’re here earning your money and stuff and you made me quit my job.”
Tabitha responded to Wendy by defending her relationship with Chance. Brown sympathized with Wendy about what happened, stating that she and Chance had stayed together for 23 years despite many hardships. Tabitha said:
“I have been with my husband for twenty-three years, they separated for a long time together. They fought for a long time together. They were successful for the past two years together. I was with him every year in the LAPD and he did it every year with me with rejection and not in the entertainment industry.
Brown added that she stayed with her husband because she allowed God to direct the marriage. “He [God] It is the first in our marriage. Not money, not business, not success, but God. He’s the first,” Brown concluded.
Tabitha’s husband had a daughter, Tyleah, before entering into a relationship with Tabitha.
Tabitha and Chance Brown began dating over two decades ago and have been married for 17 years. On April 19, 2020, Chance attached the following caption along with an Instagram photo of the couple:
“22 years together/ 17 married… @iamtabithabrown still looks at me the same way. I am truly blessed. I thank you Lord for allowing us to grow together and for allowing us to not only love but also love one another.
When Chance started dating Tabitha, he was already the father of young Tyleah Brown. Tyleah is ever-present in the Brown family photos, and most people assume that she is Tabitha’s biological daughter. Tabitha treats Tyleah like her daughter, and the bond they share is clear on social media.
Chance Brown is a television personality who co-hosts the IGTV show Fridays with Tab and Chance with his wife. He is also a businessman with a deep interest in basketball. Through his organization called ‘Team Chance Basketball,’ he teaches kids ages 5 to 12 how to build relationships through the fundamentals of basketball.
Chance is a family man who provides additional support to the efforts of his wife and children. When Tabitha decided to go vegan, he supported her by going vegan too. Tabitha’s daughter, Choyce, is the CEO of an upcoming skincare line and is a social media influencer.
Choyce Brown is the motivation behind Tabitha’s burgeoning social media career. In March 2020, she told her mother that she should start posting videos on TikTok, and it turned out to be good advice. “She picked it up pretty quickly,” Choyce told The New York Times. “I thought it would fit well because it’s so comforting.”
Choyce is a popular social media personality with more than 300,000 followers on Instagram. She is also a model and will be launching the Skinbychoyce skincare line in 2021. Choyce and her brother Queston contribute to Tabitha’s content by helping create recipes and engaging in discussions on topics like parenting.
