Alan Davies is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer from England. Since 1997, he has played the lead role in the BBC’s mystery drama series Jonathan Creek. Furthermore, from 2003 he was the only regular panelist on the BBC’s QI panel programme, outlasting his colleagues Stephen Fry (2003-16) and Sandi Toksvig (2016-present), who took over after Fry’s departure.
