During a school Kabaddi tournament, where Akash was playing, the president of Brahma Sports Club was impressed by his skills and made him a member of the club. There Akash improved his kills and worked on his game. In 2019, he won the title of district champion in the youth team selection trial tournament organized by Nashik District Kabaddi Association. In 2020, he was selected for the Nashik district team in the Maharashtra State Youth Team Selection Trial Tournament.
