In 2018, he made his debut in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 6, in which he finished as his team’s second highest scorer with a total of 75 points in 17 games. During that season, he also recorded two Super raids and five Super 10s. In 2019, during the seventh PKL season, he was retained by the Jaipur Pink Panthers and scored 21 points in 14 games. Ajinkya Pawar was the top performer for Maharashtra in the Senior National Kabaddi Championship in 2021. In seven games, he scored 48 points, which contributed to his team’s bronze medal, and he was awarded the Best Raider award for his performance.

In the 2021 PKL auction, he was bought by Tamil Thalaivas for Rs 19.5 lakh. He scored 114 points in 18 games in the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League.
