On 13 June 2022, she set a national record of 14.14 meters in triple jump at the 61st National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai and qualified for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. However, on 20 July 2022, she tested positive for dope, following which she was ruled out of the 2022 Commonwealth Games and handed a provisional suspension.

Aishwarya Babu was born on Sunday, 15 June 1997 (age 25 years; as in 2022) in Karnataka, India. His zodiac sign is Gemini. Coming from a family of sportspersons, Aishwarya B was inclined towards sports since childhood, her uncle was a national level decathlete. He began his athletic journey as a 100 m and 200 m runner at the age of eight. Later, she joined DYES Sports School. He did his graduation from Alva College, Moodbidri, Karnataka. While studying at Alva College, he met coach Vasant Jogi, who encouraged him to take up long jump and triple jump. Along with being an athlete, he is also an employee in the Indian Railways.

Aishwarya B’s husband Nandan Kumar works in the Governor’s office in Bengaluru. They grew up as neighbors when they lived near Anekal, close to the Tamil Nadu border. Eventually, they separated when Kumar moved to Bengaluru with his brother. Later, their parents fixed their marriage. Recalling the same thing in an interview, Nandan Kumar said,
My family asked his mother if they knew any girls because I wanted to marry. His mother asked, ‘Why not Aishwarya?’ My father, who is no more, always loved her and predicted that she would become a top athlete one day. We both immediately said yes.”

Controversy
doping violation
After Aishwarya B was named in India’s 37-member athletics squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she was tested positive for a banned drug in a dope test conducted by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on 20 July 2022. Subsequently, she became the national record holder. He was given a provisional suspension and ruled out of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Apart from Aishwarya, runner Dhanalakshmi Shekhar was also found positive in the dope test.

- In an interview, BP Ayyappa recalled the difficulties Aishwarya faced and revealed that she traveled out of Bangalore daily for training after the Sree Kanthirava Stadium, where he and Aishwarya used to train, was closed due to COVID. It was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He said,
We had to struggle a lot to go to Vidyanagar every day except Saturday, it is about 35 km from Bangalore. This was difficult. We had to take a special pass but the state government, JSW, AFI and SAI supported us a lot.
- Her jump of 6.73 meters at the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships 2022 created a new record in the history of the meet in the long jump category as it surpassed the record of 6.63 meters set by Mayookha Johny in 2011. Her mark of 6.73 m was also the second best record in long jump by an Indian woman after 6.83 m, set by Anju Bobby George in Athens in 2004.
