a new one Ahsoka The theory ultimately reveals Belan’s true agenda and why he truly hates Anakin Skywalker. Baylan Skoll, played by the late Ray Stevenson, is one of the most fascinating characters in film. Ahsoka. A survivor of Order 66 who has worked as a mercenary since the Fall of the Jedi, he has his own agenda – one that disrupts even Grand Admiral Thrawn’s plans. The Empire’s greatest strategist was dismayed when he realized that his army was nothing more than a mercenary force as they faced off against Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine.
Belan remains frustratingly vague about this agenda, and he doesn’t even know anything about his apprentice, Shin Hati. He confessed that he felt a mysterious call in the Force that summoned him to Peridia and seemed to gradually take over. Other than that, all he says is that he believes Peridia is where the millennia-old cycle of light and darkness begins, and he wishes to break that. But what is Beland’s real agenda? How does he fit into the wider field? Star Wars legend?
Belan seems to hate Anakin Skywalker
Belan had a strange connection with Anakin Skywalker, and his knowledge of the Chosen One was surprising. Some of this knowledge is easy to explain; as he points out, everyone in the Jedi Order has heard of Anakin’s heroics during the Clone Wars.novels by matt stover Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith Revealing that the entire galaxy has heard of Obi-Wan and Anakin, they are considered the most important of the galaxy’s heroes. But even more surprising is that Belan actually seemed to realize that Anakin had become Darth Vader – a fact that would only become common knowledge decades later.
Belan was particularly critical of Anakin Skywalker’s legacy, which is odd since he himself was allied with the Empire and helped facilitate Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return. His dislike likely stems from a very specific point; the fact that, like many Jedi, he believed Anakin was the chosen one.The text of the Chosen One prophecy is revealed only in Claudia Gray’s novel Master and apprenticeit’s easy to see why Belan would find Anakin a disappointment;”A Chosen One would come, one not born of a father, and through him the final balance of the Force would be restored.“
Beran Skoll seems to believe in the balance of power
Beran Skoll and his apprentice Sin Hardy are very mysterious figures. They’re certainly not traditional Jedi, as they’ve shown a willingness – and perhaps even a desire – to use the Force to attack rather than just defend. When Shin used the Force to try and kill Sabine, Belan was angry because she put him in a situation where he would break his promise – not because she used the dark side. Despite this, Beran had his Padawan wear her Padawan braids, indicating that he believed she was becoming some kind of Jedi.
There is some evidence that ancient Jedi believed balance was the third aspect of the Force. Belan’s costume seems to suggest that he shares the same views and considers himself an agent of balance, willing to tap into both the light and dark sides of the Force. He wears an obsidian ring – obsidian is a volcanic mineral that can imbue the dark side and has even been used to power red Sith lightsabers. Meanwhile, he wears a green crystal on his belt that looks just like kyber; green kyber is aligned with the light side and is commonly used by Jedi Knights in their lightsabers.
Does Belan believe he came to Peridia to balance the Force?
Putting the pieces together, then, it is possible to reconstruct Belan’s true agenda. From his perspective, the Chosen One was destined to bring balance to the Force—but failed. Now, Beran has chosen to set out on the path to Peridia, where he believes the millennia-old conflict between the light and dark sides first began. There is some evidence that he may well be right; Peridia appears to be at the center of an ancient empire older than either the Sith or the Jedi, one rooted in the collapsing dark side of the Force. It’s unclear what Belan thinks he can accomplish on Peridea, but he does seem to be trying to balance the Force in order to accomplish what he believes Anakin Skywalker failed to accomplish.
Beran even thought it was possible he himself Become the true chosen one. After all, he is the only one who can hear the song of the Sirens of Peridia. He may believe that he is the chosen one by some cosmic entity that represents balance, a being who needs to be awakened to restore balance to the Force. This fits perfectly with his distaste for Anakin Skywalker.
Was Byland fooled?
However, this theory does not mean that Beran is correct in believing that he is a balancing agent. In fact, it’s entirely possible that he’s being manipulated by something else, something dark and dangerous. In fact, Peridea seems an unlikely home to anything that represents balance. It is the home world of the Nightsisters of Dathomir, a dark side Force cult who use magic to steal the power of the Force for themselves. Peridian’s imagery consists of Sith triangles, and the walls of its buildings are covered in inscriptions written in Urkitat, a language steeped in the dark side of the Force. If something is calling to Baylan from Peridea, it’s more likely to be a creature from the dark side.
This suited Beland’s growing obsession.exist Ahsoka In Episode 6, he tells his apprentice Shin about his ambitions for her; he emphasizes that he wants her to become greater than any “Boken Jedi”.But in Ahsoka In episode 7, after exploring the wasteland of Peridia for some time, he simply sent her away to find the source of his summons. It does feel like a legendary siren song that has completely taken over Belan, a song that he was susceptible to due to his Force philosophy and is now completely drowned out. If that’s the case, then Belan’s agenda may not matter at all in the long run; what matters is the agenda of what controls him now.
