It’s been over a month since adult film star Sophia Leone passed away. Police found her unconscious in her apartment in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a caller she initially found her body in the unit.
Despite the lapse of time, details about his death are still being released. According to TMZ, Leone’s mother claims that she was known to have suicidal thoughts.

“The death of Sophia Leone remains under investigation. But now we know a little more about what the police officers were told when they found her body. Including the fact that her mother said she was known to have suicidal thoughts about her daughter,” TMZ wrote.
“According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, officers say they were sent to Sophia’s apartment in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 1. The person she called said they had found her body in her unit. Noting that she was already dead.”
Sophia had an apparent drinking problem.
Leone’s death is still under investigation by Albuquerque police and the cause of his death is still unknown. His mother is giving authorities all the information they need to get to the bottom of her daughter’s death. TMZ notes that her mother had not heard from her daughter for more than a day before she was found. Leone also had an apparent drinking problem according to his mother.
“When officers arrived, they say Sophia’s mother told them she hadn’t heard from Sophia in over 24 hours and became concerned. Something else of note… cops say the mother told them she was known to drink her daughter,” TMZ added.
“It’s unclear if that had anything to do with Sophia’s death. But another piece of information that her mother apparently told officers is that Sophia was also known to have had suicidal thoughts in the past. Although, I repeat, we do not know if that influenced her death here.”
The outlet also notes that the police department has hired the homicide department. They are exhausting all options in the face of the “suspicious” death of the movie star.
“Police say they brought in more investigators to look into this, and even sent a homicide unit to check it out as well, finding his death suspicious,” TMZ added.
