Adivasi Shesh Sunny Chandra was born on Tuesday, 17 December 1985 (age 35 years; as in 2020) in Hyderabad. He was raised in Berkeley, California, United States. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius.

His grandfather, Adivi Gangaraju, was an Indian freedom fighter, and his grandmother is Adivi Sheshagirishwari. In one of his social media posts, while talking about his grandparents, he wrote,
My amazing #grandparents Adivi Gangaraju garu and Adivi Sheshagiriswari. My grandfather was a freedom fighter. I have never met my grandmother but I name her after myself. Now you know why Adivasi Shesh was named.”

During an interview he talked about being in a relationship, he said,
I laugh at the rumors that surround co-stars. We are used to such rumors in the industry but sometimes things go out of hand and we are unable to do anything. After completing his graduation, he worked at Thousand Lights Inc., a private firm in California. In 2002, he debuted as an actor with the Telugu film ‘Sontham’, in which he played the role of Venkat. In 2010, he debuted as a director and writer with the Telugu film ‘Karma’. American actress Jade Taylor played the lead role in the film. She has worked in several Telugu films such as ‘Panja’ (2011), ‘Kiss’ (2013), ‘Enji Idupazhagi’ (2015) and ‘Gudachari’ (2018).

Shesh played the role of Bhadrudu/Bhadra in the epic Telugu-Tamil film ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (2015).

He has worked as a writer on several Telugu films including ‘Kiss’ (2013), ‘Kshanam’ (2016) and ‘Major’ (2021). In 2021, he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Major’, a biopic of Mumbai attack (2008) martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.
