She represented India at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Florida in the United States on 16 May 2021. She finished third runner-up in the competition and the title was won by Mexican contestant Andrea Meza. He was asked in the final round
“Should countries impose lockdowns due to COVID-19 despite the pressure on their economies, or should they open their borders and risk a potential increase in infection rates?”
He replied,
Good evening universe. Well, coming from India and seeing what India is experiencing at the moment, I have realized one very important thing that there is nothing more important than the health of your loved ones. And you have to balance between economy and health. And this can be done only when the government works together with the people and produces something that will work with the economy. Thank you.”

In 2021, she worked as a model in the documentary series ‘Kingfisher Calendar: The Making’. She has also appeared in a few music videos like Shreyas Dharmadhikari’s ‘Tere Bina’ (2019) and Arjun Kanungo’s ‘Mere Dil Vich’ (2021).
Adeline was associated with ‘Vikas Sahayog Pratisthan’ (VSP), a welfare organization working for the welfare of farmers. I liked his positive nature very much and this is what I developed in myself. When she gave a home to both her daughters without anyone’s help, I found it very brave and inspiring.
- In an interview, she told that she was harassed because of her thin and dark skin. he adds,
So, I was harassed a lot because I was too thin. And my skin was dark. So I was harassed a lot for that. I have a Pakistani cousin, my sisters are also very beautiful. So I remember my dad comparing my skin color to others and saying, ‘Why are you so dark and why are you like this?’ At that moment, I felt sad knowing that you know..when you are that age, you don’t understand. You wonder, ‘Why am I made this way?’ But as I grew up and started living independently, I left my home at the age of 15 and came to India for the first time. That’s when I started accepting myself. I saw diversity all around. Beauty exists in all shapes and sizes, all colors. And that really inspired me to accept myself and move forward.
