Adán Canto, the Mexican-American actor best known for his work on hit television shows including The cleaning lady and Designated survivorHe has tragically passed away at the young age of 42.
The 42-year-old actor was privately battling appendix cancer. He died on Monday (January 8).

He played the male lead role in the Fox series. The cleaning lady during the first two seasons. The show has been filming the third season and was unable to rejoin due to his health, but was reportedly planning to return for later episodes, Deadline reports.
“Adam had a depth of spirit that few really knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever,” said his representatives at his agency, UTA, Entertainment360 and Viewpoint. “Many of us will miss him very much.”
