Acharya Pratishtha Sharma was born on 1 December in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
She did her schooling from a convent school. From 2001 to 2003, she pursued BA Hons in English, Yoga and Kathak from Delhi University. Later, he did MA from Indira Kala Sangeet University, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh. He has obtained Diploma in Kathak from Kathak Centre, New Delhi. At the age of 3, she started learning Kathak, the Indian classical dance form. Later, she received a gold medal in Kathak at the National Institute of Kathak, New Delhi. She is among the Indian classical dancers who have inspired Kathak dancers through the Indian classical dance show “Nritya Naad”, which airs thrice every day on Zee Network channels. Acharya Pratishtha has helped promote Indian culture through various sources such as magazines, books, CDs, online videos and TV and radio shows. She has included various social issues like female feticide, women’s liberation, child labor and education and dowry in her dance acts to raise awareness among the people.
He started a dance institute named Mokshayatan Dance Foundation in 2001. She is the founder principal of ‘Bharat College of Performing Arts’, an Indian classical dance, music and yoga institute in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She is proficient in various Kathak movements like ‘Laya,’ ‘Footwork,’ ‘Chakkar,’ and ‘Bhav.’
She has performed Kathak on various national and international platforms and has won many honors for India. Apart from performing Kathak, he has also trained many Kathak students in India and other countries. He was once selected by ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs to promote Kathak and Yoga in Johannesburg and Jakarta. He has taken training in Kathak from Pandit Rajendra Gangani of Jaipur Gharana. Acharya has been a ranked artiste of Pratishtha Doordarshan and is associated with Spike Mackey and IRCEN, an initiative to support emerging artistes in India. She has worked with many renowned Kathak gurus such as Guru Rajendra Gangani, Guru Jaikishan Maharaj, Guru Gitanjali Lal and Ms. Aditi Mangaldas.

She has also done yoga for the advertisement film ‘Incredible India’ released by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Acharya Pratistha has also worked as a yoga consultant at Amatra Health Spa and Ashoka Hotel, and has conducted yoga sessions at ‘Mokshayatana International’ for Indian and foreign yoga lovers. Apart from India, he has conducted various yoga seminars in countries like Japan, South Africa, Mauritius and China.
