Abhimanyu Easwaran is an Indian cricketer who is widely known as a right-handed opening batsman who plays the anchor role in the team. He represents the Bengal team in the domestic circuit.

Abhimanyu Easwaran was born on Wednesday, 6 September 1995 (age 26 years; as in 2021) in Dehradun (Uttarakhand). His zodiac sign is Virgo. He moved to Kolkata at the age of ten to pursue a career in cricket where he was trained under the guidance of Nirmal Sengupta. In 2013, he made his first-class debut for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy. Soon, in February 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut against Tripura. After playing a few tournaments, in 2021 he was included in the national team as a standby player against England and then New Zealand team.

He played his first major tournament for Bengal on 14 December 2013 in a Ranji Trophy game against Uttar Pradesh, where he scored 10 and 27 in both innings and helped his team win the match by eight wickets. Soon, he made his T20 debut on 31 January 2017 against Tripura, where he scored 6 runs in 13 balls and helped his team win the match by 5 runs under the captaincy of Manoj Tiwari. In October 2018, he was included in India A’s squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy. He did not get a chance to play in the first match but in the second match, he scored 69 runs on 103 balls on 25 October 2018 at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium (now Arun Jaitley Stadium) in New Delhi and helped his team win. Total 293 runs. However, India-A lost this match by 6 wickets. In 2018, he was named in India A’s squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy. He did not get a chance to play in the first match but in the second match he scored 69 runs in 103 balls on 25 October 2018 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium (now Arun Jaitley Stadium) in New Delhi. As a result, his team scored 293 runs. However, India-A lost this match by six wickets. On 25 May 2019, a match took place between India-A and Sri Lanka-A in Belagavi city of Karnataka, where Abhimanyu scored a valuable 233 runs and helped his team defeat Sri Lanka-A by an innings and 205 runs. He was adjudged the best player of the match. In August 2019, he came under the radar of the national selectors for his performance in the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy where he scored 153 against India Green in the final. In October 2019, he was called into India-A’s squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy, where he got to play only one match, in which he scored 20 against India-B on 31 October 2019. In the same year, he played another Ranji tournament from December 2019 to March 2020 and scored 258 runs in 17 innings at an average of 17.20. In January 2021, India’s Test squad was announced for the home series against England where Abhimanyu was included as one of the five standby players. In May 2021, he was again called up to India’s squad as one of the four standby players for the final of the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship and their away series against England. “I was in the team, in the reserves [2020-21] The England Test as well, and that was a big learning experience for me, just being there, spending time in the dressing room, seeing everyone. I enjoyed my time there – it was an education to see how they prepare, the intensity of Virat Kohli in training. There were things that I had not seen before – for example, Rohit Sharma saw the pitch and concentrated on his sweep shot, [R] Ashwin did the same… He was very clear about his plans. And although he is not in the 20-man main squad for the England tour – as well as the World Test Championship final against New Zealand – he wants to be as prepared as possible, because “you never know, just in case an opportunity comes up.”
