Abdullah Abubakar was born on Wednesday, 17 January 1996 (age 26 years; as in 2022) in Kerala, India. Their zodiac sign is Aquarius. Abdullah Abubakar, after passing Class 12, shifted from his village Valayam to Kerala capital Trivandrum to train under coach MA George, a silver medalist at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In an interview, MA George talked about Abdullah Abubakar and said,
What I liked most about him was his complete dedication. Unlike other trainees, he was free from distractions and was focused and this helped him climb the podium.”

In 2019, Abdullah made his debut in the triple jump at the Indian Military Services Championship held in Pune, India. He won the gold medal in the competition. The following year, she won a silver medal at the Indian Open Championship, Pune. In 2021, she won medals in various triple jump events, such as a silver medal at the Federation Cup, Patiala, gold medal at the Inter Services Championships, Bhubaneswar, and a silver medal at the National Open Championships, Stadium Hanamkonda, Warangal. On 1 March 2022, she won the bronze medal at the Indian Open bronze medal competitions held in Thiruvananthapuram. In the same year, he participated in The Indian Grand Prix, Thiruvananthapuram. He won the silver medal in the competition. On 21 May 2022, she won the gold medal at the Indian Prix, Bhubaneswar.

He made his international debut in the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham in August 2022. He won the silver medal in the tournament with a result of 17.02 metres. Meanwhile, Aldoz Paul’s gold medal jump recorded a personal best of 17.03. In an interview, Abdullah, while talking about participating in the Commonwealth Games, said,
It’s exciting to break the qualification standard for the World Championships and the thought that this will be my first international competition gives me goosebumps. The focus right now is very clear – to reach the final in Oregon and better my effort of 17.19m there.

Indian Air Force
In 2014, Abdullah joined the Indian Air Force. Later, while serving in the Indian Air Force, he began his training in triple jump under coach Harikishanan. Talking about this in an interview, Abdullah said,
I did triple jump during my school and college. But, the big turning point came when I joined the Indian Air Force in 2014. It was here that Harikrishnan sir took me under his control. I give a lot of credit for my success to him. The fact that he is now in the Indian camp as an assistant coach makes me feel at ease while going about my business.

- Abdullah Abubakar initially started his athletic career in track events such as 100m and 200m sprints and hurdles. Subsequently, he switched to triple jump as there was less competition. Talking about this in an interview he said,
I used to run 100m, 200m and hurdles but there was a lot of competition. I realized early on that it would be difficult to stand out at these events. I tried my hand at the triple jump because there were no takers and it soon became my favorite event.
- 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medalist Aldoz Paul is a close friend of Abdullah. They met each other in MA college and training in Kerala and trained under the same coach. In an interview, Aldoz Paul talked about the bond he shared with Abdullah and said,
We talk to each other about our technique and our rhythm on the runway. We are always motivating each other and pointing out things that are going wrong from the jump to others. From the coaches’ position in the stands, they cannot see the whole picture in terms of technique and rhythm. We’re out in the field and watching closely, so we can see things that others can’t. Yes, our mindset is competitive during competitions. But still we both keep giving advice to each other.

- According to Abdullah Abubakar, two days before his event at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, he started feeling dizzy, his weight lost about four kilograms, and he was feeling inexplicably weak. Later he talked about this to his close friend Aldoshe Paul. Talking about this in an interview, Abdullah said,
I was a little scared. So, I decided to talk to Aldoz. He assured me there was nothing to worry about. He told me to take some electrolytes because I might be deficient in sodium. I knew I could only trust him. I can trust him in any matter.”
