Every piece of content that was removed had her performing or posing for pictures while donning a headscarf or another traditional piece of Pakistani clothing.
Aaliyah Yasin, a.k.a. ThatBritishGirl, took to Twitter to voice her amazement and fury following the removal of 302 videos starring her by the website without prior notice. As a result of the content being abruptly removed, she said that she felt “bullied and discriminated against.”
Despite receiving no response from the business, the tweets about the incident got viral, and a few days later, the business appeared to restore the recordings. She still doesn’t know why the content was deleted, and her account has now been left in a shambles.
Speaking to the Daily Star on behalf of OnlyFans, a spokesperson said: “All content moderation decisions are made fairly in accordance with our policies and procedures, and all creators have a formal right to appeal.”
In the days following the content’s restoration, Aaliyah and OnlyFans exchanged emails, although they lacked tags and appeared to have been penalised financially.
They simply provided her with technical fixes for problems like tag removal and the removal of about 9k pieces of video content, and they apologised for any problems the removal of the content may have created. However, they still provided no explanation for why the content was removed. Aliyah remarked in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star: “I’ve missed out on cash for the two days where one of my popular videos was removed by Sahara Knite.
“I’ve lost money on those because it was a highly-tipped post and people paid for the video but were unable to see it because OnlyFans took it down.
“I want assurance that this won’t come back to bite me in the future because they restoring my content won’t then catch me on tonnes of other violations because they didn’t put the right tags back on or they didn’t put the right thing back in place,” the customer said. “I don’t want to suffer the same fate as the last time a rogue moderator decided to simply delete this person’s content.
