90210 Star Ian Ziering speaks out after a fight with a group of bikers on New Year’s Eve.
The actor took to Instagram on Monday to express his gratitude that neither he nor his young daughter present at the scene were hurt in the fight. His message scrolled over a smiling image of himself, with Coldplay’s “Sky Full of Stars” playing in the background.
“Yesterday I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of people on minibikes,” said the 90210 the student wrote. “While stuck in traffic, one of these motorcyclists aggressively approached my car, leading to a disturbing confrontation.”
“In an attempt to assess any damage, I got out of my car. Unfortunately, this action led to a physical altercation, which I overcame to protect myself.”
Although his daughter was visibly distraught by the event, Ian Ziering says she was not physically harmed. “I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are completely unharmed,” he said, “but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing audacity of such groups disturbing public safety and peace.”

The incident raised concerns about Ian Ziering’s safety, both for himself and the community at large.
“This situation highlights a larger problem of vandalism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to that behavior,” he said. “As a citizen and parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this type of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the authorities’ response seems insufficient.”
Zierling expressed his desire to ensure “the streets are safe for everyone.”
“I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future events.”
“I am grateful for the support of my family, friends and fans during this time,” he added. “It is in challenging times like these when the strength and unity of our community is most vital. Happy new year.”
The incident was first reported by TMZ, which included a video documenting the fight. Surrounded by a group of motorcyclists, Zierling got out of his car and appeared to confront one of them. The confrontation soon escalated into a fight with many of the cyclists.
Looking at the footage, it appears that Ian Zierling was hit more than once. Local outlet KTLA reported that police received “reports of a fight that broke out after the group of motorcyclists were driving recklessly.” They went to the scene around 3 p.m. The incident reportedly remains under investigation.
