When Naga and Pabu saved Korra and her friends over and over again
While Naga technically belonged to Korra, and Pabu was Bolin’s sidekick, both animals aided all of the Team Avatars from time to time. Naga’s size and menacing growl can frighten people, while Pabu’s rodent-like size and movements can frighten and upset people. So many times it is these supporting actors who help.
When Appa and Momo saved Aang and his friends over and over again
Likewise, Appa was Aang’s main means of transportation, and Momo became part of the central group. But Katara, Sokka, and Toph all look to these animals for help and play with them, as they are part of the family unit.
In addition, they share traits with their counterparts in The Legend of Korra; Apa’s powers are very useful and the way Momo flies around to annoy people.
When Naga wanted to play Fetch with Lin
Speaking of fun… these four characters are furry anyway, and it’s fun to play with. However, some people they meet don’t seem to know what fun is, such as Lin Beifeng.
At one point, Naga was playing catch with Korra and dropped the ball in front of Lin…who hit the ball and deflated it! Naga’s face looks sad, which makes this moment alluring.
When Appa knew Zuko was one of the good guys
A key moment in Avatar: The Last Airbender is when Zuko shows up with the main team, wanting to join them. They don’t trust him, for obvious reasons… but Appa trusts him; Zuko frees Appa at Ba Sing Se, causing the animal to greet the prince with numerous licks.
Animals are good judges of character, and this wild bison knows deep down that Zuko is a good guy.
When Pabuk Noodles Eat Too Much
Pabu and Momo are small but eat well. Once, ferrets and Bolling went to a noodle shop together. Early the next morning, he appeared next to an empty bowl of noodles, his stomach was full! And when he wanted to follow Boleyn and Mako out of the room, he had to slip, struggling a little in his state.
When Momo ate too much and couldn’t ventilate
Because Momo is so small, he can move in and out of space when needed. But that doesn’t work if he’s full of fruit.
When Team Avatar was imprisoned by King Bumi, Aang thought that Momo might be able to get through the vent to help the team escape. However, this little thing doesn’t eat much, I can’t eat it!
When Pabu & Naga played tug of war with Mako’s scarf
Pabu and Naga each left with Yin’s grandmother, Bolin, and Mako while Team Avatar set off on an adventure. During this time, the two creatures begin a tug-of-war over the iconic red scarf Mako gave Yin.
She loves them and calls Naga a dog and Prabhu a mouse, causing the pair to bow their heads in shame. Another scene that makes people sad, nostalgic and funny!
When Katara wanted Momo to bring water
Do you remember when Katara and Sokka were seriously ill and Aang went looking for a cure? The brothers used the appa as a pillow, and Katara thought Momo could at least bring them water. But he did not fully understand human speech. That said, he brought her various items but never brought her water. At least he tried.
When Naga and Pabu joined the surveillance
At one point, during Korra’s performance, there was surveillance at the inn, and the Avatars had to find creative ways to pass the time. Pabu played with some spirits and then took a nap on Naga, who was resting and taking up most of the room.
The most important part of this is when Pabu meets Bolin and Asami’s game of Pai Sho, ruining his master’s chances of winning. On top of that, Pabu even bit off the head of the Nuktuk doll!
When Aang saw Momo and Appa fighting
Of course, Aang also had images of Momo and Appa fighting to the death. This legendary scene occurs when the Avatar is preparing to face the fire god Ozai. One of his psychosomatic nightmares shows Momo and Appa talking and then fighting, all wearing very nice clothes.
