Just days after the father of her children, Sean Garinger, died in an all-terrain vehicle accident, 16 and pregnant Star Selena Gutiérrez speaks out about the tragedy.

Sean Garinger and Selena Gutiérrez share two daughters, Dareli, 3, and Esmi, 19 months. They appeared in 16 and pregnant in 2021. They eventually broke up after Gutiérrez accused Garinger of cheating on her.
Although she admitted she didn’t get along with him, Gutierrez said they “finally got along” with their lives just before his death.
“We never really spoke one on one, it was always through my sisters or his mother, and he was better,” Gutiérrez explained. He noted that Garinger was striving to improve his health and well-being.
“He was sober for more than 200 days. I know he was at school. He left rehab and moved with his mother to Carolina. My heart aches for her.”
Selena Gutiérrez also spoke about the relationship that Sean Garinger had with his daughters. “I know from what her mother said that she was happier than ever to see them. The girls loved him. She was planning to come back and see them at her expense.”

While announcing her son’s death, Sean Garinger’s mother, Mary Hobbs, revealed that he died after her all-terrain vehicle rolled over on top of him while she was trying to move it from one parking spot to another.

After failing to find help nearby, Hobbs said she returned to the scene and discovered her son had succumbed to his injuries.

“Sean lit up my world in a way that no one else could ever come close to,” Hobbs added. “He was my baby, my softie, my heartbeat.”
