Having joined with Bo-Katan Kryze, Ahsoka sent a message to Kenobi and Skywalker to ask for their help to defeat Maul and the Mandalorians loyal to his power. However, Kenobi and Skywalker were unable to assist after the kidnapping of Chancellor Palpatine. Instead, Skywalker split the 501st Legion, leaving the newly formed 332nd Company in the command of Commander Rex. As such, the Siege of Mandalore occurred simultaneously with the events of The Revenge of the Sith.

Together, Rex and Ahsoka were able to crash the Venator-class Star Destroyer, killing the 332nd Company who only days before had painted their armor to resemble Ahsoka herself, a means of honoring their former commander. Burying all the troopers before leaving her lightsabers behind, Ahsoka joined Rex as the two became fugitives during the rise of Palpatine’s new Empire. Having only sensed that something terrible had happened to her master, Ahsoka believed that her master had died along with the countless Jedi slaughtered during Order 66, not knowing the truth that Skywalker had fallen to the dark side.

9 Ahsoka Forged Her White-Bladed Lightsabers From An Inquisitor

During the Empire’s reign known as the Dark Times, Tales of the Jedi season 1 reveals that Ahsoka came face to face with an Imperial Inquisitor, one of Darth Vader’s agents tasked with hunting down any who survived Order 66. Even without her lightsabers, Ahsoka was able to defeat the masked Inquisitor. To that end, the Ahsoka novel from E.K Johnston revealed that Ahsoka purified the Inquisitor’s red kyber crystals, cleansing them of their darkness for her new white-bladed lightsabers.

8 Ahsoka Becomes Fulcrum And Helped Create The Rebellion

While a series of duels occurred, none were as significant as Ahsoka’s once Darth Vader arrived at Malachor’s Sith temple. Damaging Vader’s helmet during their duel, Ahsoka’s fears were confirmed as she was able to see the face of her old master within. Refusing to leave him again with Vader promising her death, Ahsoka and Darth Vader continued to duel as the temple fell around them.

6 Ahsoka Experienced The World Between Worlds

In the final episodes of Star Wars Rebels, Ezra Bridger accessed the Force vergence known as the World Between Worlds. Hearing voices from across the Star Wars canon, Ezra was drawn to a particular moment in his past: Ahsoka’s duel with Darth Vader on Malachor. Reaching through the portal and saving Ahsoka, both Tano and Bridger were able to close off the vengeance after Palpatine himself tried using them to access the nexus of power. Likewise, Ahsoka was sent back in the past to her own time, explaining her survival after facing her corrupted master.

5 Ahsoka Took Sabine Wren As Her Padawan

In the aftermath of Star Wars Rebels, the trailers for the upcoming Ahsoka show have confirmed that Tano took the Spectres’ Sabine Wren to be her apprentice. Having inherited Ezra’s lightsaber, it seems as though Sabine sought to walk the path of the Jedi. That said, the trailers have also confirmed that Ahsoka ultimately abandoned Sabine’s training for some unknown reason.

4 Ahsoka Began Hunting For Grand Admiral Thrawn

As seen in The Mandalorian season 2 with Ahsoka’s live-action debut, Tano confirmed she’d begun hunting for Grand Admiral Thrawn. A brilliant Imperial leader who disappeared into the Unknown Regions thanks to his defeat by Ezra (who also went missing), Thrawn is a major threat to the galaxy. As such, Ahsoka was seemingly looking for answers in the hopes of finding Thrawn and likely Bridger as well. After all, trailers for Ahsoka have confirmed that Tano started hearing “whispers of Thrawn’s return as Heir to the Empire”.

3 Ahsoka Refused To Train Grogu

Although Din Djarin and the child known as Grogu helped Ahsoka locate and question Thrawn’s agent Morgan Elsbeth, Tano ultimately refused to train Grogu despite Djarin’s mission to return the child to his own kind (Jedi). No longer considering herself to be a Jedi, Ahsoka also sensed the great attachment Grogu had for Djarin as well as his inner conflict. However, she did point Djarin and Grogu in the right direction to get in contact with Luke Skywalker who’d begun plans to restart the Jedi Order.

2 Ahsoka Met Luke Skywalker On Ossus

As seen in The Book of Boba Fett, it was revealed that Ahsoka and Luke Skywalker had already met for the first time off-screen. Reuniting on the Jedi world of Ossus where Luke had begun building his new Jedi Temple, Ahsoka and the son of Skywalker shared a few moments together watching Grogu train. However, Ahsoka left rather quickly to presumably continue her mission of finding Thrawn.

Now, Ahsoka is set to continue the former Jedi’s journey to find and defeat Thrawn. Likewise, it’s been teased that Ahsoka and Sabine will be reuniting to continue Wren’s training to effectively stop the threats in store as master and apprentice in the new Star Wars show. Episodes 1 and 2 of Ahsoka premiere Tuesday, August 22 on Disney+.
